Fairfield Canoe Club was established in 1919 on the banks of the Yarra River, downstream from the present clubhouse. FCC is one of the oldest canoe clubs in Australia and has a rich and varied history. We are currently working on a book about FCC's history - to celebrate our Centenary in 2019 - a project led by Hamish Ewing.

If you have any information about the history of FCC, please contact Hamish using the FCC contact form (select "History Project 2018-19" and an email will be sent to Hamish). Photographs, memories, articles, or objects, are all welcome.

On the right hand side of this page, you can see links to a number of "History Snippets" which Hamish is publishing over the course of 2018-19.  If you have a story suitable - please contact Hamish!

Tom Ohman (above) , Zoli Sziget and Jon Mayne are life members of the club. Toms Ohmans history of the club and the timeline of the clubs history can be downloaded from the right side of this page.
