About this site

FCC website, facebook page and weekly e-enews.

Background
FCC was one of the first canoe club online in Australian in the mid 1990s. The club facebook page was first published in 2013.

The weekly e-news has been published for about ten years. The format was changed in 2013, and is now is available in html or a plain text format. Subscription to e-enews is open (not limited to club members)

The club websites have remained “static” mainly providing information for new and potential members. A recent member survey revealed that most current members rarely visited the site. The new site aims to be more interactive and we hope that it will encourage members to submit articles and stories.

With the launch of the new site (2013) we will changing the format of the printed newsletter. Members will have access to current and up to date information and the Communication Committee will have time to work on other projects – not to forget the saving in paper and printing costs! If you do not have access to the internet and would still like to see what is being posted online please put a note in the red information box in the club house and we will post you a hardcopy of club stories.

Please note, we will no long printing a club newsetter. A selection of stories and news updats from the website will be printed and posted to members ( June and December) who do not have access to the internet.

Any comments regarding the website are always welcome. And remember we encourage all members to submit articles and photographs.
