The first of Paddle Victoria's Winter Series Races was held on Sunday the 2nd May at Strathcona's Tay Creggan Campus in Hawthorn. Fairfield Canoe Club was the host club for this event and it was a great success with 155 paddlers registered and spectacular autumn weather making the event a pleasant experience for all involved. With a full complement of FCC volunteers on board, managing the competition was as smooth as it could be in one of the trickiest locations to get paddlers on to the water in a timely fashion.
