The Annual General Meeting of the Fairfield Canoe Club Co-operative Ltd was held at 4pm on Sunday 25th August 2024. This was a ‘hybrid’ meeting that took place at the Fairfield Canoe Club and also online via Zoom.
Five board positions were available.
Nominations for directors closed at midnight on Friday 26th July 2024.
Four nominations were received prior to the nomination period closing - these four were elected automatically at the Annual General Meeting. This left one further director position available and we called for nominations from the floor during the AGM. One further nomination was received and was elected.
Your new board members are:
Rowan Doyle, Helen Gibney, Basil Ireland, Jade Kerber, Ed Tollinton, and they join existing board members Tony Ladson and Leab Sek.
In addition, Mark Malmberg and Tom Ladson expressed interest in assisting the board in observer positions.
Tom Ladson was also nominated to be the Paddle Victoria delegate to the PV AGM in October 2024, supported by Gary Flanigan.
Directors are elected for a two year term. Note that individual roles for Directors are determined by the elected Board at the first board meeting after the AGM.
The Directors of the Club are responsible for ensuring that the club is run within the rules of the Co-operatives Act and the Policies and Procedures of FCC Co-op. This encompasses running the club in the best interests of all members.
At the AGM, Foster Rossetto was awarded Life Membership of FCC, after more than 50 years service to the club and joining our illustrious life members Kevin, Marg and Jonathan. All life members are listed on our Honour boards in the clubhouse and our Honour Boards online.
Thanks to members for your ongoing support of FCC.
