Fairfield hosts the first winter series race

The race briefing

The first of Paddle Victoria's Winter Series Races for 2021 was held on Sunday the 2nd May at Strathcona's Tay Creggan Campus in Hawthorn. See all the photos from the day

Fairfield Canoe Club was the host club for this event and it was a great success with 155 paddlers registered and spectacular autumn weather making the event a pleasant experience for all involved.

With a full complement of FCC volunteers on board, managing the competition was as smooth as it could be in one of the trickiest locations to get paddlers on to the water in a timely fashion.

The next race on the 30th May is in Yarrawonga.
